About Us
Engineering the Future,
One Flight at a Time
TCHS Aero builds heavy-lift VTOL drones from the ground up — designing the frame, wiring the electronics, writing the flight software, and training the computer vision systems that power autonomous search and rescue missions.
We compete at Student Unmanned Aerial Systems competition, one of the most demanding collegiate and high school aeronautics competitions in the world. Our work is organized across three teams — Mechatronics, Software, and Operations — just like our drone, we're built on precision and speed.
Innovation
Every design decision, from frame geometry to flight path logic, is interrogated.
Excellence
Our drone maps terrain, detects objects, and completes precision drops under competition conditions.
Community
Twenty-seven students, engineer mentors, and parents who show up. TCHS Aero is one of the few places in school where all of that sits in the same room.
Integrity
Hardware either flies or it doesn't. We hold ourselves accountable to real outcomes.
Our History
TCHS Aero was founded in 2024 by a small group of Temple City students who wanted to combine their love of engineering and passion for flight.
As word spread, membership grew alongside our ambitions. Now, 2026 is our inaugural year competing at SUAS.
